Ingham County Sheriff announces passing of retired K-9
The Ingham County Sheriff’s Office is mourning the loss of one of its K-9s.13-year-old Smoke was retired from the force and recently passed away.He started working with the Sheriff’s Office in 2015 and was trained in narcotics and tracking. The Sheriff’s Office said Smoke “loved every minute of his duties to protect and serve the community.”Smoke retired in 2020 and lived the rest of his life relaxing with his handler Sergeant Narlock and his family.“Smoke will be missed deeply but his family are (sic) proud of his years of service and thankful for the immense joy he brought to their lives every day,” the Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post.
