Retired Fountain K9 Scribbles has died
Retired Fountain police K9 Scribbles has died, the department said in a news release Tuesday. The department’s second K9, Scribbles started working with Sgt. Dan Anthony in 2009. Five years later, the K9 retired because of back problems “but continued to live with his handler due to the close bond they both had for each other,” police said in a statement. Prior to his arrival at Fountain, Scribbles worked two years in Park County. “Scribbles will be greatly missed and we are very thankful for all of the support and help that he and his handler, Sgt. Dan Anthony, provided for so many years,” police said.
