Dinwiddie County Sheriff’s Office K-9 dies after medical emergency
The Dinwiddie County Sheriff’s Office is mourning the loss of one of their own.The sheriff’s office says K-9 Deputy Puma passed away on Sunday following a medical emergency. He was five years old.“K-9 Deputy Puma served the Dinwiddie County Sheriff’s Office and the citizens of Dinwiddie County from May 2022 until his passing in February 2025. During his career, he and his handler/partner completed extensive training and assisted in several arrests,” the sheriff’s office said. He leaves behind his handler, partner, and best friend, Deputy Ryan Booth.
