Nebraska State Patrol remembers retired service dog
Troopers are remembering the life and service of an old friend.Murphy, a retired service dog who worked with the Nebraska State Patrol, died Monday.During his time on duty, Murphy served under the Police Service Dog Division with his assigned trooper, Lt. Toby Czapla.The state patrol said Murphy joined troopers on countless deployments.While deployed, troopers say the service dog helped them save lives and pull thousands of pounds of drugs off the streets.In a tweet, Troop A thanked Murphy for being a good boy: “Your loyalty will never be forgotten. Thank you #NSP508K.”
