K9 Kitty

Died – 1/20/16

Another heartfelt tribute to MWD Kitty, who passed away early yesterday morning. We’re happy to know she enjoyed a few happy weeks retired before crossing the Bridge. “Definitely the hardest part of this job. This MWD selflessly gave 10 years and 10 months of her life for this country. She was retired for 23 days before she passed. She gave her whole life and asked for nothing in return but love/affection from her handler and to rip the tops off of Kongs (which she was pretty damn good at). Even with her medical conditions rapidly getting worse, SSgt Garcia adopted her and ensured that she got to enjoy the rest of her life happy at home with him. R.I.P Kitty”
