Retired LCSO K9 Kilo passes away
Lee County Sheriff’s Office officials announced the passing of a retired K9. K9 Kilo served the citizens of Lee County for nine years before he retired from LCSO in February 2021. He was a faithful partner to Sergeant Julio Lock. The K9 specialized in patrol and narcotics during his career, LCSO said. In total, he went on 950 K9 deployments with tracks that resulted in 219 arrests. Additionally, he also completed 588 narcotic searches, and 214 of them resulted in arrests. The sweet dog will be missed.
