Stevens County Sheriff’s Office mourns K9 Keylo after 12 years of service
The Stevens County Sheriff’s Office remembered one of their own, K9 Keylo, as he retired after 12 years of service.Keylo was part of the sheriff’s office narcotic detection unit. He spent eight years with Sergeant Mark Coon “sniffing out drugs and putting dealers in jail.”According the Stevens County Sheriff’s Office, K9 Keylo was poisoned halfway through his career causing him to lose his spleen and eventually his eyesight. He still continued to work efficiently for several more years, following these medical issues. Keylo died over the weekend and will be missed by his family and the whole sheriff’s department.
