A significant moment in PD Kaos’ career was when he was seriously injured during the arrest of two offenders in Gordon Park on February 2, 2020.PD Kaos underwent extensive surgery after receiving a 12-centimetre stab wound to the chest during the arrest. Thankfully, he recovered from his injuries and valiantly returned to work a month later to continue protecting the community. He also continued to regularly attend the Queensland Children’s Hospital bringing joy, love and cuddles to the sick children.PD Kaos unexpectedly passed away in the early hours of Saturday morning, August 10, surrounded by his family. PD Kaos and Senior Constable Griffiths were best mates and a formidable team. With honor he served, and it was an honor to serve with him.
