K9 Huck – Lowndes County, Georgia

Handler – Handler – Deputy Josh Carroll

It is with a heavy heart, Sheriff Paulk announces the passing of our canine, Huck. Huck is our oldest and most seasoned member, a 10-year-old blood hound who has been a part of the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office canine unit since 2011. Huck was trained and used to track missing persons or criminals who fled from a scenes. Huck had a very successful career with numerous apprehensions and was one of the more successful dogs at the agency. Huck was nearing the end of his career due to his age but recently fell ill before he could enjoy a retired life. Please keep Huck’s handler, Deputy Josh Carroll and his family in your thoughts and prayers. People have a special bond with a pet, that bond is multiplied when that pet is your partner. Thank you Huck for the years of dedicated and faithful service.
