Sheriff’s K-9 officer Bravo passes unexpectedly
The Mingo County Sheriff’s office spoke on social media on July 9 about the sudden passing of the K9 officer Bravo. In a statement by the Sheriff’s office it stated, “It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of K9 Bravo, a courageous and loyal partner who served with unwavering dedication. K9 Bravo passed away unexpectedly on July 8, 2024.“Bravo began his journey with the Mingo County Sheriff’s Department on August 5, 2018, quickly becoming an invaluable member of the team.
His keen senses and exceptional training helped in countless operations, making our community a safer place. Bravo’s bravery and commitment were evident in every task he undertook. “Beyond his professional accomplishments, Bravo was a beloved companion to his handler, Deputy B.T. Sipple and a cherished member of the MCSD family. His playful spirit and loving nature left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.“K9 Bravo’s legacy will continue to inspire us, and his absence will be deeply felt. We extend our deepest condolences to Deputy B.T. Sipple and all those who mourn the loss of this extraordinary canine hero. “Rest in peace, K9 Bravo. Your service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.”
