GPD says final goodbye to retired K-9 officer assigned to drug task force
The Greenville Police Department has said a final goodbye to a retired member of the department. Retired K-9 Bono Jr. was assigned to the Greenville Regional Drug Task Force from 2010-2019. Officials said his handler, retired Detective Tim McLaughlin was a military and police K-9 handler and dedicated his entire career to working dogs. Bono Jr. retired with Detective McLaughlin in 2019 after a decorated career officials said was filled ith major drug busts, and countless bad guys taken off the streets and spent his last three years enjoying retirement life with Tim and his family.
