The Las Vegas Metro Police Department announced that Arno, a 13-year-old K9, passed away. The Belgian Malinois served alongside veteran K-9 officer Jeff Corbett. LVMPD reported Arno was donated to the department in 2016 by the Wynn Hotel.Over the last eight years, Arno has conducted thousands of explosive sweeps at parades, hotels, festivals, and major events, including the very first F1 in Las Vegas.Officials share words of sentiment as they remember Arno.Arno was gentle and friendly, always ready for work. He loved loading up in the truck and driving all over town to serve the people of Las Vegas…. His loss will be felt by all of us here at LVMPD K9. We’re grateful for his eight years of service. The department says Officer Corbett will miss the days when Arno stole his lunch.
