Died 12/2/20
Handler – Deputy Zaugg
Handler – Deputy Terry

It is with great sadness WCSO shares the passing of K9 Chase. Chase passed away on December 2, 2020 due to an unexpected medical emergency. During Chase’s career he partnered with Deputy Zaugg and Deputy Terry and served the community of Washington County from 2015 – 2020 as a patrol dog, part of the Tactical Negotiations Team (TNT) and finally as a narcotics detection dog. Chase holds a special place in the hearts of the Zaugg and Terry families, the WCSO family, and the entire community. Chase was a hard-working dog who earned the title of Top Dog three separate years at the annual Washington County K-9 Trials. Forever a friendly crowd favorite, Chase always welcomed some love and attention at community events. Thank you Chase for your service to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and Washington County. We miss you already
