Retired Marshall County K-9 dies
Lacey, a retired K-9 that served for the Marshall County, Kentucky Sheriff’s Office, has died. The sheriff’s department made the announcement. Lacey died on Thanksgiving morning. “She helped to seize numerous pounds of illegal drugs from our streets and communities. She was a valuable asset to the drug unit and the Marshall County Sheriff’s office, Lacey also was a friend to the community, as she went to schools and community events and performed demonstrations of her job. Lacey retired a couple of years ago when her health began to deteriorate and she struggled to get around, officials said. Lacey died at her home with her family, her last two handlers, by her side.”Lacy was a great friend, a hard worker and she will be missed. Rest In Peace, our friend!” read the post.
