The LaGrange Police Department is mourning the loss of one of its K-9 officers. K-9 Deek died Monday, Deek had been battling several medical issues for the past few weeks. Deek was with the department for eight years. “This is a huge loss to our department, to the K9 Unit and especially to his partner Officer Clower. Deek was not only a loyal partner to Clower but also a beloved member of his family,” the post said. We so appreciate the public support we have continued to receive from our great community over this last month. But today we are asking for your thoughts and prayers for our department as we have suffered a loss of one of our own. Our K9 Deek lost his fight today with medical issues that he had been battling for several weeks. Deek had served with this department faithfully since 2008. This is a huge loss to our department, to the K9 Unit and especially to his partner Officer Clower. Deek was not only a loyal partner to Clower but also a beloved member of his family.
