Retired Carson City Sheriff’s Office K9 dies
A former Carson City Sheriff’s K9 officer died last month, CCSO announced in a news release Saturday.Tarzan served for more than seven years before retiring roughly five years ago, the release said. He was 14 years old when he died of natural causes in January.Tarzan was partnered with Sgt. Riggin. Throughout his career, Tarzan played a crucial role in narcotics detection, suspect apprehension, search and rescue operations, and public outreach efforts, the release said.Tarzan was a frequent presence at community events, school demonstrations, and public safety initiatives. His interactions with citizens, especially children, helped foster strong relationships between law enforcement and the community, CCSO said.For information regarding Carson City Sheriff’s K9 unit, contact Sgt.
