Nashville police mourn death of retired K9
The Metro Nashville Police Department is mourning the loss of one of its retired K9s.MNPD said retired K9 Ruger has died.Ruger and his partner, Officer Bill Morgan, worked together to perform protective sweeps during some of Nashville’s largest events to ensure everyone’s safety.“He was an exceptional bomb detection #K9 with a contagious personality, and never met a stranger,” MNPD said.Ruger served in the department’s Hazardous Devices Unit from 2016 until his 2023 retirement.“He was a good boy who will be sorely missed,” MNPD said.
