St. Tammany Parish sheriff’s retired K9 dies
A K-9 with the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office has died.St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s office said their retired K9 Nero, passed away peacefully in his sleep by the family pool.K9 Nero started his career with STPSO in January 2014 and served the citizens of St. Tammany Parish for eight years.STPSO says during his eight-year career, he located guns, narcotics and stolen property.Deputy Nero apprehended 24 wanted suspects and located 33 concealed narcotic locations. They say Nero was 12 years young and has been living the “good life” since he retired in 2022. Nero spent his “golden years” with his human partner, Deputy Clint Kiley.
