K9 Kaja – Adams, Indiana

Handler – Officer James Franze

Adams County K9 Passes Away

Yesterday, K9 Kaja was put to rest. He was 12 years old, serving at the Adams County Sheriffs Office from 2013-2020. For the past three years, he’s been retired at home with his formal canine handler, James Franze. Kaja had many accolades and was a pleasure to watch work. Kaja no doubt made our community better. For us that we’re fortunate enough to utilize Kaja, we will remember him as a partner. For the less fortunate, Kaja was a high drive specimen that wanted to please his handler. He was an amazing working dog and partner, and will definitely be missed.
