Cheshire and North Wales police dog has sadly passed away
The Cheshire and North Wales Police Dogs unit have paid tribute to PD Guinness today (Tuesday, August 8), with a sad announcement on his passing on their pages. PD Guinness was familiar in the region for his crime-fighting and featured often in updates on the unit.The Dutch Sheperd was talented at sniffing out suspects and his successes were celebrated on the Cheshire and North Wales Police Dogs social media pages. A spokesperson for the unit said: “We are very sad to announce the passing of PD Guinness. He was a phenomenal police dog, serving & protecting throughout his short career and awarded a Chief Constable’s commendation during that time. RIP Guinn, keeping a watchful eye over your handler who misses you dearly.” People were quick to take to social media to also pay tribute to the police dog.One person said: “What a stunner of a dog he was. RIP beautiful Guinness. Thoughts with your humans.”Another said: “Aww rest in peace Guinness. Thoughts are with your handler.”
