Handler – Deputy Miles Enger
Retired Dane County K9 passes away
The Dane County Sheriff’s Office announced the passing of retired K9 Milo. Milo, a yellow Lab, was activated by the DCSO in May of 2005 to partner with Deputy Enger as his second Cadaver, Search and Rescue dog. Milo had to retire early, in 2010, due to a medical condition. The Sheriff’s office says he received an Outstanding Service Award from the North American Police Work Dog Association in 2007 for a high profile case where he helped in locating a victim who was buried after a homicide. Milo was 13 years old.
